If you learn to keep the same or greater volume, you will have to work for more customers and that actually provides a more stable business.

Fourth, now is a great time to improve your your quality of helpers. If someone is under performing, it isn’t as hard to replace them. With the economic times, even some good people are underemployed and are looking for a good opportunity to better themselves.

A fifth benefit is that when the economy does actually get better, those that do the right things and maintain and grow their customer base will become the leaders in their area. Those companies will be stronger and have a much larger portion of market share.

So even though it may seem like things are tough right now, if you do the right things during these times, it can provide benefits to you and your company well into the future. So don’t complain about the economy, learn how to cope and grow through it.
